Vectors

Vector art differs from the type of digital image that most people are familiar with, which is a bitmap. A bitmap is made up of a grid of different colours that the eye sees as a picture. A vector image is defined by a mathematical formula representing curves and lines. Enlarging a bitmap can cause blurring, as there is only so much information to work with; but not so with vector graphics. With a vector, the scale is recalculated using the math formulae to draw a new image for the chosen size.

This makes vector images very useful for large scale output or when you require very clean lines at an size.

Another example of vector graphics that I've done are on my Concept To Coach page.
